IT Business Relationship Manager - Technical Operations
"Our people are the heart of Norwegian.
We embrace a culture of diversity, equality and inclusion.
Embracing this culture is critical to our business success and makes us stronger together.
Our people have different knowledge, experiences, and backgrounds,
but all share a passion for our vision; to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe".
Are you our new IT Business Relationship Manager?
We are looking for an experienced IT Business Relationship Manager to support our Technical Operations (TechOps) organization.
In this role, you will be the primary link between TechOps and IT—ensuring strong collaboration, transparency, and alignment across stakeholders. You will take responsibility for maintaining, supporting, and further developing the IT solutions that enable critical TechOps processes, while ensuring compliance with Norwegian's IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
You will also have end-to-end responsibility for governance, lifecycle management, and the strategic development of key Technical Operations systems related to Airworthiness and Compliance, including AMOS, ATS/RMS, Aviatar, and other aviation platforms.
If you enjoy working at the intersection of technology, operations, and regulatory requirements, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
What is it like to work at Norwegian:
Norwegian's vision is to be the most loved and trusted airline in Europe, and our people are key to achieving that goal.
Here, you'll find a diverse and dynamic workforce united by a shared purpose and passion for connecting people.
No matter your role, you'll make engaging connections every day.
We care for, encourage, and cheer each other on, celebrating new ideas and different ways of doing things.
So, fasten your seatbelt — your next exciting career journey starts here!
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Acting as the primary IT partner for Technical Operations, establishing strong collaboration and trust
- Managing the relationship between business and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment
- Partnering with Enterprise Architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps
- Collaborating with project, program, and portfolio management (PMO) to ensure a well-governed and prioritized initiative portfolio
- Evaluating and shaping proposals, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic roadmaps
- Planning and coordinating IT initiatives to maximize business value rather than focusing solely on solutions
- Ensuring governance of IT systems related to Airworthiness, Compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Driving digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity considerations, and capability development
- Leading and strengthening collaboration across IT teams and business areas
- Managing relationships with external vendors and partners
- Staying up to date on relevant IT systems, technologies, and industry trends within your area of responsibility
You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Strong domain and system knowledge of AMOS, ATS/RMS, Aviatar, or similar aviation systems
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanics, technician fields, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) within Technical Operations
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance planning, execution, and compliance follow-up
- Solid leadership experience with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
- Several years of functional experience within relevant business areas
- High business acumen with the ability to see the broader strategic picture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- A structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
We can offer:
Joining Norwegian means more than just a competitive salary — it's about being part of a community that values and rewards your contributions.
Here's what you can look forward to:
- Travel in Europe and beyond with massively discounted employee priced tickets with Norwegian and our partner airlines
- We have good pension schemes
- Get comprehensive medical and travel insurance
- You will have the flexibility to combine working from our office and from home
