Senior/Principal Engineer - Piping (Material)

We are looking for experienced Senior and Principal Engineers to strengthen the Piping Engineering and Cats&Specs department . You will contribute to strengthening engineering delivery and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
About the position
As a Senior Engineer, you will carry out piping materials engineering activities, including developing and updating Pipe Class Sheets, Piping Detail Standards, Work Instructions, and Guidelines. The work includes detailed calculations and verification of piping components, managing specifications for bulk items and valves, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. You will also provide guidance to colleagues and may take on design or coordinator roles when required.
In addition to the responsibilities listed for the Senior Engineer, as a Principal Engineer, you will assess acoustic and flow induced fatigue, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and support colleagues while taking on other project roles when required. You will also be responsible for developing methods and procedures for department quality documentation, acting as an advisor towards projects and department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Extensive relevant experience in piping materials engineering (typically 10–15+ years), including calculations and the selection of piping components and valves in accordance with ASTM/ASME
Experience developing Pipe Class Sheets, Piping Detail Standards and other standardization documentation
Experience developing valve specifications is preferred
Experience in piping design and/or piping lead roles is an advantage
Strong multidisciplinary understanding and comprehensive knowledge of international and Norwegian standards (ASME, ASTM, API, NORSOK, DNV, EN, ISO, TR2000/TR2325) and applicable regulations (e.g., PED/Trykkdirektivet)
Experience with Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) projects and FPSO applications is an advantage
Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are beneficial
