We are looking for a motivated R&D FEA Engineer
We are looking for a motivated R&D FEA Engineer with a strong interest in finite element analysis, innovation, and engineering development. This role is well suited for engineers who are passionate about structural mechanics and eager to grow their competence in advanced simulations and offshore engineering. You will work closely with experienced engineers on challenging engineering problems, contribute to the development and validation of new solutions, collaborate with the test lab, and support the creation of engineering methodologies, tools, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analyses using FEA tools to support R&D activities, product development, and engineering studies.
Support assessments related to strength, fatigue, and structural behavior under different loading conditions.
Contribute to the development and improvement of analysis methods, workflows, and engineering guidelines.
Prepare engineering reports, calculation notes, and technical documentation.
Participate in solving challenging engineering problems, from early concepts to detailed simulations.
Collaborate with senior engineers, design teams, and the test lab to validate models, methods, and solutions.
Explore and test new ideas, tools, materials, and structural concepts.
Support investigations of new materials and different types of structural components.
Qualifications
Ideally around 3 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
MSc in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and strong interest in Finite Element Analysis and structural mechanics.
Knowledge of offshore or structural engineering standards such as DNV and/or Eurocodes.
Interest in programming or scripting (e.g., Python, VBA, MATLAB, C#, or similar) and in developing new engineering ideas or tools.
Motivation to work with advanced simulations, new technologies, and evolving engineering methods.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A flexible mindset and willingness to work across different problem types and development phases.
Knowledge in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is considered a plus.
