What you’ll own

• Lead mechanical design of bespoke subsea tools and steel structures from concept through verification.

• Do the math: hand calcs for speed, FEA when it matters, margins that survive the real world.

• Deliver the package: 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, specs, test plans, and clean documentation.

• Drive tenders and technical clarifications with a sharp commercial edge.

• Oversee build, FAT/SIT, pressure or load tests; support occasional offshore work when the job demands it.

• Hold the line on standards and quality: ISO/API/NORSOK and our internal procedures.

• Mentor engineers, raise the bar, and leave things better than you found them.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/Structural Engineering. Strong relevant experience can substitute.

• 5+ years designing steel structures, mechanisms, lifting/handling or pressure-exposed equipment.

• Mastery of Inventor or SolidWorks, plus solid 2D drafting in AutoCAD.

• Judgment across strength, fatigue, materials, tolerances, sealing and assembly. You know when to simplify and when to refine.

• Clear communicator, quality-driven, with a practical, commercial mindset.

• Fluent in Norwegian and English.

Great to have

• FEA insights and working knowledge of DNV/ISO/API/NORSOK.

• Experience with testing, certification, and supplier/fabricator follow-up.
