Senior Automation Engineer

Job Description

• Work as automation engineer in a large oil & gas FEED project including new platform design, brownfield modification work and multiple contractual interfaces
• Engineering of Automation systems with focus on PDCS system design
• Perform system design activities for automation interfaces to electrical equipment, as appointed by automation group lead
• Design solutions according to client requirements, ensuring global design solutions across contractual interfaces
• Design automation interfaces to electrical equipment packages during the FEED phase
• Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation, including planning of package engineering activities
• Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress is identified and communicated to the project
• Interface with other disciplines, suppliers and client
• Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers
• Offshore survey may be required

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Minimum 10 years' experience from automation engineering in greenfield projects
• Minimum 6 years' experience from automation design for electrical interfaces, including knowledge of IEC 61850
• Thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC
• Efficient communicator with strong English skills, both written and oral
• Cooperative working attitude and ability to work in a multicultural team environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
• Systematic, accurate and loyal to deadlines and quality requirements
• Proactive mindset, seeking advice and sharing experience with others
• Valid FSE course throughout the engagement
