Havila Hotel Geiranger is looking for a restaurant manager and a housekeeping manager

We have two exciting management positions that we would like to fill. We have a position as housekeeper manager where you will have the opportunity to work year-round, even though we are closed during the winter. We are also looking for a restaurant manager who would like to take charge of our restaurant, café and serving team for the 2026 season (April to October)

Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a talented and experienced restaurant manager to lead our culinary team and contribute to exceptional guest experiences.

• Start date: 1 April 2026

• End date: 31 October 2026

• Type of employment: Seasonal, full-time 100%

What we are looking for

• You have education or experience in hotel operations, service, management or equivalent high competence and experience in service, management, food and beverage

• Genuinely interested in guest experience

• Good communication skills

• Ability to lead and motivate teams

• Personnel and financial responsibility

• You have a genuine interest in food and beverage

• Independence

Job responsibilities

• Active presence and management in the restaurant with guests and employees.

• Budget and profit responsibility, including time management, shift planning, cost control/profit.

• Training, follow-up and development of employees

• Follow-up of routines and systems

• Ordering goods, inventory, stocktaking and control.

• Close cooperation with the General Manager and F&B Manager

• Contribute to a good working environment and cooperation with colleagues in the various departments.

• Ensure compliance with laws, health, safety and environmental regulations.

• Create and teach sales opportunities and

• Be responsible for routines, training staff in service and sales techniques, as well as IK alcohol.

• You will be part of the hotel management team, participate in management meetings and report to the F&B Manager

Housekeeping Manager

 Would you like to join our management team, play a key role in our daily operations, and ensure that everything runs smoothly? We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate about their work and has high standards. You are an experienced, energetic, and strong leader with an eye for detail.

What we are looking for

• You should preferably be fluent in a Scandinavian language; English is a requirement for the position.

• Experience as a housekeeping manager/cleaning manager or similar is desirable.

• Experience from hotels is an advantage.

• You must be service minded towards guests and employees.

• You keep up to date with the latest developments in working environment legislation, cleaning techniques and technology in your field.

• You must take pride in your work and show pride in your profession.

• You have good leadership skills.

• You recognise the importance of listening to your colleagues, providing guidance and have good communication skills.

• You must be detail-oriented and faithful to established instructions and routines.

• You are passionate about providing good service to our guests and are not afraid to speak up.

• Lead and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure a high standard of cleaning in all areas.

• Develop and follow up cleaning plans and ensure efficient use of resources.

• Responsible for ordering and stocking cleaning products and equipment.

• Responsible for creating work schedules for all employees in the department and complying with Norwegian labour legislation.

• Responsible for ensuring that all cleaning services are performed in accordance with health and safety standards.

• You have managerial responsibility, recruiting, following up and coordinating your team.

• Training and follow-up of staff in your department.

• You will ensure that your stocks are replenished in accordance with the hotel's needs during the season. In addition to inspecting and approving laundry for staff accommodation.

• You will be responsible for all staff uniforms for the hotel.

• Joint responsibility for and organisation of staff accommodation.

• Coordinate and collaborate with the hotel's other departments and department managers.

• Participate actively in management team meetings.

• Ensure that operations are efficient and that procedures are followed.
