Behind every smooth payment experience is a lot of complexity done right. That’s where our Post Processing team comes in, safeguarding money, reconciling transactions, handling accounting, settlement, reporting, and invoicing for millions of users and merchants across the Nordics.

Now, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager who wants to shape culture, leadership, and strong delivery in a team where trust, quality, and clarity really matter.

⭐ What you’ll lead

You’ll lead the Post Processing team, a group of 11 skilled, self-driven developers based in Oslo.
You’ll also be part of a strong, supportive community of Engineering Managers across Payments & Processing in Vipps MobilePay.

You’ll work closely with a Product Manager in a central part of our platform, connecting the dots between people, technology, and business, and making sure the team has the clarity and support they need to do their best work.

This is a leadership role with real impact:
what your team builds and maintains ensures that money ends up in the right place, at the right time, every time.

1. Creating the conditions for great engineering 🛠️

You make sure the team has clear goals, good ways of working, and the right balance between delivery, quality, and sustainability. You care about technical excellence. Not perfection, but systems that are reliable, understandable, and built to last.

2. Growing people and building a strong team 🌱

You lead with trust and clarity. You support, coach, and mentor engineers with different strengths and ambitions, helping them grow while building a strong sense of ownership and team spirit.

3. Partnering closely with Product 🤝

You enjoy working side by side with Product, finding solutions that work for both customers and the team. You help translate big goals into clear priorities, and make trade-offs visible and understandable.

Have experience with

• Leading engineering teams in complex domains (finance, payments, platforms, or similar)
• Building teams and practices that work in everyday life, not just on slides
• Balancing delivery, people leadership, and technical direction

• The ability to make complex things simpler, technically and organisationally
• Clear and confident communication in English (we work across countries)
