Senior Purchaser

We are looking for Senior Purchasers to strengthen our Supply Chain department in Bergen, Stavanger and Harstad. As a Senior Purchaser you will play an important part in follow-up of complex procurement packages and creating procurement strategies. 

About the position
The Supply Chain team in Aibel is growing and we are looking for new competent employees to join us. At Aibel, you will work with dedicated colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. You must have a commercial mindset with focus on value creation while being able to balance several tasks at the same time and thrive in a hectic work environment. 

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Develop and execute procurement strategies focused on cost reduction and value creation

• Conduct market screening and maintain strong market insight to identify competitive suppliers

• Prepare inquiry documents and collaborate closely with engineering

• Evaluate quotations and issue purchase orders and contracts

• Ensure deliveries meet agreed time, cost, and quality requirements

• Manage risks, deviations, and invoice processing while ensuring compliance with Aibel’s guidelines

• Act as the single point of contact for commercial discussions with suppliers and drive continuous improvements
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree. Relevant subjects: Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Engineering and similar 

• Solid knowledge & experience within procurement is a requirement 

• Right attitude and high commitment may compensate for lack of formal education

• Strong oral and written communication skills, both in Norwegian and English

• Microsoft Office and SAP ERP experience is a plus
