We are now seeking a Chief Financial Officer to help shape the company’s next phase of value-driven growth. This is a central enterprise leadership role at the heart of one of Europe’s most important renewable energy companies—combining large-scale investments, exposure to volatile energy markets, and close interaction with the CEO, Board, owner, and debt capital markets.

As the CEO’s trusted partner, the CFO will set clear financial direction, strengthen performance and capital discipline, and ensure that Statkraft can invest at scale while maintaining resilience and financial flexibility. The role spans capital allocation, financial reporting and steering, banking and investor dialogue, and enterprise-wide risk management, M&A, legal, tax and corporate audit, and carries significant influence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Statkraft’s finance, performance management, and risk functions with clarity, rigor, and strategic insight.

• Act as the CEO’s closest sparring partner on value creation, investments, and financial priorities

• Oversee capital allocation and balance sheet management for a highly asset-intensive portfolio of approximately NOK 330bn, with NOK 16–20bn in annual investment

• Strengthen cost discipline, performance orientation, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

• Lead the continued transformation and modernisation of the finance function, including systems, analytics, and digital capabilities

• Manage financial and market risk exposure in close cooperation with Markets and business areas

• Provide the Board with clear, independent financial perspectives and strategic options

Experience & Profile

The successful candidate will bring senior CFO or equivalent experience from large, international, asset-intensive businesses—ideally within commodity-exposed or capital-intensive industries. You will have a strong track record in transformation, capital allocation, and performance improvement, combined with solid understanding of financial and market risk.

You are an analytical, commercially minded and credible leader who combines strategic perspective with execution strength. You collaborate well across functions, challenge constructively, and remain resilient and composed in demanding change environments.
