Are you a driven, analytical, and relationship-focused professional who thrives on complex quotation processes and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Sales Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring efficient flow and high quality in our quotation work.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be the central point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders, taking complete ownership of the quotation process from initial inquiry through to completion. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the quotation workflow is consistently precise, timely, and streamlined. Furthermore, you will play an active role in the overall development of the team.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate quotations based on customer inquiries
- Securing a robust quotation workflow by effectively prioritizing inquiries and adhering to agreed-upon time frames
- Accurately identifying components using the company's database or technical support
- Calculating costs and delivery dates for spare parts
- Process Development and Improvement
- Support further development of our team members and grow the team capacity.
Reporting directly to the Parts Manager OFS located in Norway. The position will be on-site in MacGregor's office in Arendal, Norway.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you combine a solid commercial understanding with a technical interest and excellent communication skills.We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive individual who is a team player and takes ownership of their tasks.
Ideally you have
- Commercial or technical bachelor degree, or equivalent through relevant experience
- 4 years of experience in a relevant role
- Solid computer skills, including experience with SAP, SalesForce and Google Workspace, as well as Excel
- Basic technical drawing reading skills
- Solution oriented mindset to identify the challenges and focus on the solutions
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
