Senior Engineer, Hydraulics

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Engineer ready to take on a leading role, mentor others, and drive technical excellence in power hydraulics design, while ensuring project success within budget and timeline.

This role is part of our Offshore Solutions Division. Reporting directly to the Manager E&I and Hydraulic. This position is based in Kristiansand, Norway.

More tasks and responsibilities

• Independently design, modify, and optimize equipment from the existing product portfolio, and develop new efficient and sustainable concepts and solutions.

• Perform complex hydraulic calculations, analyze existing systems to identify potential issues, and propose corrective actions.

• Create and provide comprehensive technical documentation, and deliver internal and external technical support.

• Deliver designs on budget, time, and quality; report progress, identify project risk, and suggest mitigating actions.

• Actively discuss and provide input to technical solutions with key stakeholders, and advise and guide other engineers, acting as a mentor.

• Maintain a high level of knowledge in power hydraulics engineering, class requirements, international standards, and country regulations regarding product design.

What you'll need to succeed

Knowledge of power hydraulics engineering, international standards, and country regulations is required. We are looking for an individual with analytical skills necessary to perform hydraulic calculations and system analysis.

You should be self-driven and flexible to manage technical deliveries and execute projects on budget and time. You are expected to demonstrate a professional work ethic and possess the ability to advise and guide other engineers, acting as a mentor. Clear communication skills are important for providing effective internal and external technical support.

Ideally you have

• University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in Power Hydraulic Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience within a global organization and the maritime industry is required.

• Interdisciplinary understanding and engineering design principles.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and E3 software will be considered a distinct advantage.

• English language - both verbal and written, technical understanding.

• Analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in teams with attention to detail and safety.
