 About the role:

In this role, you will work with a diverse team of engineers, QAs, designers, and a product manager to deliver cross-platform mobile applications that are central to our digital training portfolio. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Stavanger and Bangalore, as well as team members from around the world with a wide variety of backgrounds. You will thrive in this role if you embody servant leadership and help those around you succeed. Some of what you will be doing:

• Lead with servant leadership to create an environment where engineers can excel and grow.

• Guide career progression and personal growth including setting goals, reviewing performance, and conducting salary reviews.

• Coach individuals through regular 1:1s, offering clear feedback, guidance, and support for their development.

• Foster a collaborative culture grounded in trust, respect, ownership, and continuous improvement.

• Cultivate an inclusive, motivating team environment where diverse perspectives are valued and people feel confident challenging the status quo.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and area leadership to align priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes.

• Set clear expectations and goals for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

• Drive strategic engineering initiatives beyond your team that support long-term company growth.

• Champion modern engineering practices and encourage experimentation and accountability.

• Ensure the adoption of Laerdal’s tools, frameworks, and industry standards.

• Encourage documentation, code reviews, and test-driven development.

• Oversee the development of scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performing components.

• Support your team in exploring and adopting new technologies, such as Bluetooth Low Energy, EventHub, MAUI (iOS, Android, Windows), Unity, and .NET10.
  

Who we envision would fit the role:

• Proven experience and advanced knowledge of object-oriented languages such as C#

• Experience with .NET and cross platform technologies such as .NET MAUI

• Familiarity with any other cross-platform technologies: Kotlin, Swift, Flutter, or React Native.

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices such as CI/CD and GitHub Actions

• Familiarity with NuGet.org and IoT.

• Excellent learning skills, curiosity and drive to constantly learn new things.

• 3+ years of leadership experience, combined with a solid technical background from hands‑on technical roles.

• Proven ability to work effectively with Product, and Design Leadership to deliver on team goals.

• Experience defining and influencing strategy and driving teams toward optimal outcomes.

• Skilled at setting clear expectations and goals for teams.
