Jefferson Wells is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Specialist Project Engineer – Marine Engineering. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong competence in marine installation engineering and offshore operations. If you have 5–10 years of relevant experience and thrive in dynamic project environments, we want to hear from you!
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project documents such as MDR, procurement plans, technical specifications, operational procedures, and calculations.
- Perform design modifications and protection performance evaluations based on soil data.
- Participate in DIC, IDC, and document reviews, and ensure accurate as-built documentation.
- Incorporate project-specific and corporate HSE and quality requirements in engineering and procurement activities.
- Establish and manage interface requirements and resolve interface issues.
- Follow up subcontracted work (Survey, ROV, Vessel, and other services) and suppliers.
- Attend progress and client meetings, and conduct Safe Job Analysis, HAZOPS, and FMEA as required.
- Delegate work packages and supervise offshore activities.
- Contribute to department development, training of new personnel, tender work, and R&D initiatives.
- Act as an HSE role model and ensure zero tolerance for unsafe work.
Background and Qualifications
- Specialist engineer with experience in cable laying operations (preferably export cables/interconnectors).
- Offshore experience required
- Located in Oslo and able to work from the Oslo office.
- Senior Engineer with relevant education (Master/Bachelor) or equivalent experience.
- Typically 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- High sense of quality and on-time performance.
