Assistant manager Sales & Business development i Daletec
Daletec is seeking a motivated and curious Assistant Manager – Sales & Business Development to join our team. This position will support our sales operations and business development team while offering a clear development path toward independently managing customers and further sales responsibilities.

This role is designed for a motivated individual who wants to learn the professional textile business from the inside out — starting with operational and customer support and gradually moving into direct commercial engagement.
The professional clothing sector is highly international, and a day at the office could include interaction with several nationalities, different cultures and time zones. In order to master this trade, both technical expertise needs to be built, and at the same time, personal relations and sales skills need to be developed.
Over time, the expectation is that the position will be given added responsibilities, and eventually managing own accounts.
Relevant education within marketing, economy, sales is expected for the right applicants. At the same time, relevant experience within sales and/or technical textiles would be seen positively.
The position reports to General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
During the initial learning and support phase, you will:
Assist the General Manager and sales team in daily operations and follow-ups.
Coordinate and schedule customer interaction, meetings, and internal activities.
Take care of practical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
Participate in marketing and communications discussions, contributing with ideas and follow-up actions.
Shadow the General Manager in customer meetings and strategic discussions to learn the business.
As you develop within the role, you will also:
Take ownership of selected customer follow-ups and accounts.
Contribute directly to sales efforts, including prospecting, relationship management, and negotiations.
Support the implementation of business development initiatives.
Gradually take part in domestic and international sales activities.
Represent Daletec in customer and partner interactions, both digitally and in person.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, management, or a related discipline is preferred; however, candidates with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Good communication skills in English (work language).
Competence in Norwegian is a must; skills within additional major languages are considered as an advantage.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Interest in developing a career in sales and business management.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with colleagues, customers, and other partners.
