Cloud Architect Wanted: Solve Big Problems, Drive Bold Progress

We are searching for an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join the Global IT Team in Stavanger, Norway.

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be leading the development of our Azure Cloud Infrastructure to support our internal IT team and domains like product development, sales, manufacturing and shared services.  You will be working in the IT global operations team, and your work will contribute to our mission of helping save lives by enabling Cloud Infrastructure decisions that enhance our products and services.  

About the role:

• Design, govern and develop our Global Azure platform 

• Develop and implement Infra as Code policies 

• Collaborate with our development teams on DevOps, CI/CD and security  

• Drive security improvements to our cloud infrastructure  

• Drive and develop an effort to implement Azure cloud governance and collaborate with other Laerdal teams. 

• Participate in tasks assigned to our team 

• Optimizing performance, cost and support 

•  Risk management  

• Ability to communicate and document system architecture and strategic direction. 

• Good prioritization skills  

About you:

• A strong academic foundation – You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field. 

• Proven experience in Cloud Infrastructure – You bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience, and you're ready to take your skills to the next level. 

• Experienced with Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, etc. 

• Deep understanding of git and CICD (and experience in Github Actions preferred.) 

• You bring discipline and structure to your work, ensuring every detail is accounted for. 

• You express yourself clearly and professionally in English, both in writing and in conversation. 

• Preferred certifications such as Azure DevOps Certification, Azure Solutions Architect Certification (not required).
