Context
Seafarming Systems (SFS) is a Norwegian based Aquaculture company focused on developing and supplying cutting edged fish cages and equipment. We have 5 semi-closed cages currently in operation and will soon start construction of several new cages. These new cages are at a significant size and will have the capacity for 70,000m3 of water..
Our delivery strategy is to build the cages in sections in Asia and ship them to Norway to complete final assembly in a Norwegian yard.
Construction should start in China around December, however we would like this role to start ideally in October/November to prepare for construction and to build the site team.
This is an exciting time for the Norwegian and World aquaculture industry, with a push to move towards more sustainable cages. We believe that we are at the cutting edge here, our cages are unique and we can see an increasing need for such products in the market. We also believe that our cage design and delivery strategy give us a significant market lead in this exciting and growing sector. The team on site will be small and focused, consisting of a Construction Manager, a Site engineer and inspectors.
Why this Role?
We are looking for an individual who will not only help us to successfully deliver, but will also work with us to develop and then manage the delivery and construction process for future cages to be delivered.
We are looking for a person to join our small team, to help to set up our Construction management organisation and to deliver quality cages on time and to budget. You will play an important part in expanding our construction and project management capability, building strategic relations, and become a senior member of our team who will help us to successful deliveries for our customers.
If you are self-driven, you have construction and site management experience, you are happy to travel, you like working in a small agile organisation, you are self-motivated and if you believe that you can make a difference, then this is the perfect job for you.
