Business Intelligence Manager

Set sail with Neuver Maritime – the trusted life-cycle partner in maneuvering solutions.

We develop and deliver cutting-edge systems to customers operating in the most demanding maritime environments. Our clients depend on us for uptime, performance, and insight – and we’re committed to helping them succeed through smart, data-informed decisions.

Now, we’re looking for a Business Intelligence Manager who is excited about digging into data, uncover what truly drives performance, and help steer our business and our customers towards smarter and more sustainable operations.

Position overview

This isn’t just about reporting – it’s about creating clarity, insight, and action. As Business Intelligence Manager, you will be a central part of our Finance & IT team, working closely with Sales, Aftermarket, Product, and Management to help Neuver Maritime excel through data. Your mission is to transform complex data into clarity, actionable insights, and tangible business value. We’re looking for someone who is deeply curious about the business, eager to understand how things work, and proactive in exploring how data can drive improvement, efficiency, and competitive edge.

Your main responsibilities will involve

  • Develop, champion, and implement Neuver Maritime’s overarching business intelligence strategy and toolset and architecture.
  • Build intuitive dashboards and reports that turn complexity into clarity
  • Proactively identify leading indicators, growth levers, and operational bottlenecks through data
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making with insight-driven analysis
  • Ensure strong data infrastructure, integrity, and security
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and service teams to uncover and address data needs
  • Develop and promote self-service analytics and data governance practices
  • Continuously explore and evaluate BI trends, emerging technologies and new tools.
  • Champion initiatives that can enhance Neuver Maritime's data capabilities and insights.

This is an autonomous role where you’ll oversee the full business intelligence process together with other key managers. The role will be based at one of Neuver Maritime’s locations in Ålesund, Brattvåg or Hagavik.

Who we think you are

  • You’re not just a numbers person – you’re a business thinker who knows that data is only valuable when it leads to better decisions
  • You love building dashboards, but you love asking “why?” even more
  • You’re curious, hands-on, and eager to learn how a business ticks – especially in a complex technical environment like ours
  • You enjoy turning data into compelling narratives that inspire action

What you need to succeed?

  • A relevant degree (bachelor’s or higher) is a plus – but we care more about what you’ve done with data than where you studied it
  • Several years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a structured and analytical approach
  • The ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment
  • High proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and data warehousing solutions. Knowledge about D365 is also an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms, along with solid experience with data warehousing.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong ability to collaborate, motivate, and engage stakeholders across various departments.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms
  • Experience or familiarity with Dynamics 365 is beneficial but not required.

Reasons to join the Neuver team and what we offer:

  • Be part of a growing company where your insights will help shape strategy, improve operations, and support real-world impact at sea
  • Competitive salary and benefits – and the chance to grow with us as we scale globally
  • A collaborative and inclusive workplace, where data curiosity is encouraged and colleagues support each other
  • A hands-on culture with room to try, learn, and influence – surrounded by smart people who care about what they do

Are you ready to join Neuver Maritime on this exciting journey? Contact CFO Vemund Ukkelberg at Vemund.ukkelberg@neuver.com, +47 95799799 if you have any questions. Please submit your CV and application at your earliest convenience, as applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
