Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is looking for a HSEQ Manager

We are looking for a high-performance HSEQ Manager for our “Offshore” fleet managed by Wilhelmsen Ship Management (Norway) AS. 

The HSEQ Manager will be responsible for leading the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality functions within the assigned ship group. This role involves improving the company's ship management systems and ensuring compliance with current and future requirements and expectations.

The HSEQ Manager will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the company’s vision and mission

• Monitoring assigned vessels to ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements

• Overseeing the development of the company's safety management systems (SMS) with the objective of improving and ensuring compliance with existing and future requirements

• Monitoring and following up on Undesired Events

• Monitoring and following up on Shipboard Management System Reviews

• Attending meetings with clients

• Following up on business intelligence and statistical tools

• Ensuring safe and efficient operation of the administrative and operational tasks as outlined in the company management system

• Serving as a member of the Emergency Response Team

• Following up om vetting/OVID and maintaining OVMSA

What we are looking for in the right candidate:

• Owns the mindset of wanting to enhance their own and our team’s performance

• Has excellent communication skills, speaks and writes English fluently

• Has a social approach and build relationships easily

• Has strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Has seagoing experience as a Senior Officer

• Preferably has a BSc degree in HSE, but this is not a requirement

• Is an enabler with confidence to coach, lead and challenge our team

• Is goal- and results orientated

• Has strong computer skills to write detailed reports and analyze vessel trends

• Works well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Is a teamplayer and service minded
