We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Survey Asset Coordinator to take ownership of survey equipment across our facilities and projects. The ideal candidate has extensive relevant experience from a technical survey environment, an in-depth understanding of survey instrumentation and equipment, and the ability to ensure efficient asset management in a dynamic, project-driven organisation.

Working closely with offshore Survey and ROV teams, project teams, suppliers and rental companies, you will play a key role in ensuring that equipment is available, traceable, calibrated and ready for use. You will also contribute to developing and improving processes for survey asset management, ensuring high standards of technical quality, documentation and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for Survey and Project teams regarding survey equipment rental and sales.

  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate overview of survey assets across facilities and projects.

  • Coordinate equipment movements to and from projects, ensuring availability, traceability and proper documentation.

  • Support the planning and allocation of equipment according to project requirements and operational priorities.

  • Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated, documented and ready for operation.

  • Maintain accurate equipment records and ensure relevant documentation is up to date.

  • Coordinate closely with offshore personnel, project teams, suppliers and rental companies.

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of procedures for survey asset management.

  • Build and maintain in-depth technical knowledge of a broad range of survey equipment and associated systems.

  • Take ownership of equipment-related challenges and support effective technical and operational decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Extensive relevant experience in a technical survey role, survey equipment rental company or a similar technical environment is required.

  • Proven experience in survey equipment, technical operations and asset management is highly desirable.

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant industry experience may compensate for formal education.

  • Strong technical expertise and an in-depth understanding of survey instrumentation, equipment and associated systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound technical and operational decisions.

  • Experience with digital systems for equipment tracking, asset management, documentation and coordination.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple activities.

  • Fluent written and spoken English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.

Personal qualities

  • Highly structured and detail-oriented, with a strong technical mindset.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to identify challenges and implement practical solutions.

  • Confident in taking ownership, making decisions and following tasks through to completion.

  • A clear communicator who collaborates effectively across offshore and onshore teams.

  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

  • Curious and motivated to continuously develop technical knowledge and expertise.

  • Dependable and accountable, with a strong commitment to quality and operational excellence.

  • A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to a growing organisation.
