Hi!
Price open to offers for a quick sale. First come, first served.
It is time to part ways with my beloved Canon R3, which has performed flawlessly as my secondary camera for demanding work. The main reason for selling it is to fund my upcoming travels. The low price reflects the fact that I am in a bit of a rush to close the sale and head out on my next journey. I am currently located in the Møre og Romsdal region, so I would highly prefer a face-to-face inspection and local pickup in this area (Valldal, Ålesund). I am happy to cover the shipping costs for a fast and hassle-free transaction. I am a serious seller and expect the same courtesy from potential buyers.
As you can see in the photos, the camera body shows signs of use and has some scratches here and there, but performance-wise it works perfectly and has never given me any trouble. It has traveled the world with me, and I must admit that I am still incredibly satisfied with it to this day, especially when working in low-light conditions. The dynamic range has always been deeply impressive.
For anyone interested in seeing actual photos I took myself with this exact setup, I have put together a small gallery here:

Camera was purchased on 14.10.2022 at "Foto.no" in Oslo (the proof of purchase can be provided upon request). From day one, it has been used with an EF-EOS R mount adapter and a screen protector. Mechanical shutter was used for the first 1-1,5 years of shooting, and I used the electronic shutter exclusively for the next three years (I shot ~98000 photos using the mechanical one, see picture 21).
The sensor itself is 100% clean, with absolutely no dust or dead pixels, and all the nooks and crannies of the camera have been thoroughly cleaned. Any visible dust motes and specs in the product shots are simply due to the unfortunate, high-contrast lighting when I took the pictures with my phone. Camera actually looks better in person than it does in these low-quality photos, as my phone camera really exaggerated every little mark.
The most notable defect is definitely the missing joystick cap (photo 16), which happened because the rubber lining around it tore slightly. Fearing I might lose the joystick entirely, I decided to remove it completely and store it in a safe place (added to the package). The joystick mechanism itself functions normally, and the team at "Foto.no" assured me that Canon service can easily replace it, potentially even as a quick, while-you-wait fix.
The missing eyecup can be purchased for 269 NOK at several online stores, though I simply got used to shooting without it and never bothered replacing it.
Canon comes with Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens, which was purchased second-hand on Finn.no years ago. As you can see, the lens body has also seen its fair share of use, and the front filter thread is slightly dented, which prevents screwing on a UV or polarizing filter, though a determined buyer could likely reshape or file down that section to resolve the issue. The glass elements themselves are completely flawless, and the lens performs brilliantly.
What's included in the package:
- additional Canon battery LP-E19
- Canon mount adapter EF-EOS R
- Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART
- SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO CFexpress
- SanDisk Extreme PRO CFexpress card reader
- 2x Lexar Professional SD XC 128GB
- Canon wireless remote BR-E1
- Canon USB-C cable.
- Benro circular polarizer filter 77mm
- black Peak Design Slide Black V3 strap
- Peak Design standard arca swiss plate (attached to the camera, working with most of tripods).
- Benro FRHN05c carbon tripod with ball head and carrying bag (~1,5kg)
- ThinkTank Digitial Holster 50 bag with extendable bottom (I had no problem with carrying R3+mount adapter+70-200mm II inside).
The tripod is included purely as a bonus, as it has two issues. One of the lower leg segments slides all the way out if it is completely unscrewed, though it locks and functions perfectly fine as long as you tighten it in the correct position. Additionally, a segment on another leg is quite stiff and difficult to extend without using force; I suspect a grain of sand might have gotten trapped inside the mechanism, causing the friction. The tripod is most likely fixable, but I never bothered looking into it.
The original box, manuals, and original strap are NOT included, nor is any other miscellaneous item that originally came with the R3 body. Everything was unfortunately lost over the past four years.
If you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask.
