Crown and Crossed Rods (1891–1906): The earliest distinct back stamp featured crossed rods with a crown above them, flanked by the letters “R. & C.” (for Rosenthal & Co.), usually stamped in green underglaze.
Maker: Rosenthal & Co., Selb, Bavaria, Germany. The official Rosenthal mark guide confirms that the crown, crossed rods and R.&C. mark was used between 1891–1906.
Estimated age: Approximately 120–135 years.
The delicate floral decoration, scalloped saucer, pale ivory porcelain and gilded edges suggest a late 19th- or early 20th-century aesthetic. The roses and thistle-like flowers give it a particularly traditional European appearance.
One cup has slight crack although cup holds hot liquid without leaking.
