As Kongsberg's new Group Accounting Manager, you will become a go-to person within the accounting field for KONGSBERG and overlook the financial consolidation of our four business areas. You will get the chance to grow professionally and be involved in a variety of complex and interesting challenges within technical accounting as well as excellent exposure to financial instruments.

At KONGSBERG, you will be part of a large financial environment and collaborate closely with Tax, Performance Management and Reporting, Finance Treasury and Investor Relations, as well as finance functions across the divisions. In addition, Corporate Accounting supports the M&A teams in business transactions.

The Corporate Accounting team provides crucial technical accounting expertise on the area for the whole group. The team consists of four competent colleagues with deep professional knowledge, who foster professional discussions and knowledge sharing. The work environment is further characterized as inclusive and supportive. You will join a team dedicated to adapting to changes within the field, learning and continuously improve the reporting and controlling process.

The team is based in Kongsberg, but there are opportunities to have office space at Tjuvholmen and commute to Kongsberg a few days a week.

Corporate Accounting has the main responsibility for the group's quarterly and annual financial statements and implementation and compliance of accounting standards. In addition, Corporate Accounting contributes to the group target process, business controlling and the monthly financial reporting to the Corporate Management Team and Board of Directors.

Your main responsibilities:

• Contribute to the preparing of the consolidated accounts
• Be an important contributor to the quarterly and annually financial statements
• Contribute to the yearly group tax accounting in close dialog with the Corporate Tax function
• Responsible for the reporting of financial instruments in the consolidated accounts in close cooperation with Corporate Treasury
• Transaction Services: Support the organization on M&A activities, including due diligence, contract negotiations, settlement and integration
• Advisory: Contribute to identify opportunities to improve the groups accounting function, including use of systems and technology
• Contribute to implementation and compliance of accounting principles

Qualifications and experience:

• Higher education degree within either Accounting & Auditing or Finance
• 3-5 years' experience acquired from an audit/ advisory firm and/or in-house group accounting
• Experience with financial consolidation and systems applications (HFM, Cognos, etc.)
• Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) and other regulations
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
