Beskrivelse av varen
18 books from the renowned author, Beverly Clearly. 11 feature Ramona Quimby (8 in the Ramona series but she also appears in the 3 Henry Huggins books).
- In publication order, the Ramona books are as follows:
# Title Ramona's Age & School Grade (US)
1 Beezus and Ramona Age 4 (Preschool) – Told from sister Beezus's point of view
2 Ramona the Pest Age 5 (Kindergarten)
3 Ramona the Brave Age 6 (First grade)
4 Ramona and Her Father Age 7 (Second grade) - Newbery Honor Book
5 Ramona and Her Mother Age 7 (Second grade) - National Book Award Winner
6 Ramona Quimby, Age 8 Age 8 (Third grade) - Newbery Honor Book
7 Ramona Forever Age 8 (Third grade)
8 Ramona's World Age 9 going on 10 (Fourth grade)
The exact reading level creeps upward as the series progresses because Ramona actually grows up across the eight books. The first book (Beezus and Ramona) can be read around 7/8 years of age and then a child can gradually move through the books as they get older and the books become more complex. Ramona's World can be read by 8 to 10 year olds approximately.
9. Henry Huggins (Ramona is in this too)
10. Henry and Ribsy (Ramona is in this too)
11. Henry & The Paper Route (Ramona is in this too)
Ramona and Henry Huggins books can be read by strong readers of 7 years old but more comfortably at 8/9 years old upwards.
Ralph the mouse series:
# Title Primary Setting & Plot
1 The Mouse and the Motorcycle Mountain View Inn: Ralph discovers a toy motorcycle left by a boy named Keith and learns to ride it by making engine noises.
2 Runaway Ralph Happy Acres Camp: Frustrated by rules at the inn, Ralph runs away on his motorcycle to a summer camp, only to get trapped in a cage.
3 Ralph S. Mouse Cloverleaf School: Ralph ventures out to a local elementary school with a boy named Ryan, where he runs mazes and deals with heavy classroom attention.
The books about Ralph the mouse have a reading age of approximately 8+ (see photo).
15. Socks
16. Ellen Tebbits
17. Muggie Maggie
18. Two Times the Fun - this has a lower independent reading age of a second grade student (US) or strong first grader (6 - 8 years old - see photo).
I am a teacher at a school, and a number of the books have been weeded from classroom libraries to be sold for charity. The books have been well read and some spines have been taped a little. Ramona Forever is in poorer condition than the other Ramona books but makes up the set so I have included it. The majority are still in good condition and the price is a bargain!. Two books are hardback.
10kr each or 150kr for the set of 18 books. Message me if you want particular books and we can discuss as I have extra copies of some books.
