POSITION 1) LEAD PACKAGING OPERATOR.
Role Overview
We are looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented and beer loving Lead Packaging Operator to take ownership of our state-of-the-art packaging line. As the leader of our packaging team, you will oversee the packaging of all our beverages across all formats and types while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will be responsible for day-to-day packaging operations, quality control, routine machinery maintenance, and the further development of our standard operating procedures (SOPs).
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager. You will work as part of a small, tight-knit team, managing a dedicated Brewery Packaging Assistant and building positive relationships across the brewery. You will even get the chance to step out of the brewery to travel and represent our brand at festivals and tap takeovers!
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Machinery Operation: Operate and run our 10,000 can-per-hour canning line and end-of-line systems—including our Krones CraftMate can filler, Ska Fab depalletizer, Scaligera case packer, automatic labelers, robotic palletizer, keg filler, and fresh wort bag-in-box filler.
Maintenance & Changeovers: Conduct mechanical equipment changeovers for different packaging formats and sizes. Perform routine maintenance and quickly troubleshoot line issues.
Strict Quality Control: Monitor and log fill levels, dissolved oxygen (DO)(TPO), carbonation levels, and the overall aesthetics of outer packaging and labels.
Process Improvement & SOPs: Continuously evaluate our packaging lines to recommend, develop, and institute improved processes and formal SOPs.
Inventory & Cleanup: Track stock levels of packaging materials. Lead and perform automated/manual Clean-In-Place (CIP) tasks and general packaging hall sanitation and cleanliness.
Brewery Support & Brand Advocacy: Assist other departments when needed and enthusiastically represent the brewery at public festivals and marketing events.
Must-Have Requirements (Essential)
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on packaging or production experience within the brewery or beverage manufacturing industry.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues quickly on an automated line.
Positive Leadership & Attitude: A team-first mindset with a positive attitude and effective communication skills to guide assistants and keep floor morale high.
Heavy Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for the majority of an 8-hour shift, including repeatedly lifting up to 35 kg on heavy production days.
Safety First: Total commitment to maintaining strict product quality, chemical safety protocols, and wearing mandatory PPE (safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection).
Nice-to-Have Requirements (Preferred / Bonus)
Industry Background: Prior specialized experience in craft brewing or industrial drinks production.
Certifications: Active forklift license and/or a recognized professional packaging certification.
POSITION 2) Brewery Packaging Assistant
Role Overview
We are looking for a positive, energetic, and hard-working Full-Time Packaging Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of our Lead Packaging Operator, who manages the entire packaging line, machinery setups, and various product formats. Your focus will be on the back half of our line—ensuring our products are perfectly labeled, packed into cases, palletized, and prepped for distribution, as well as handling our kegging and bag-in-box stations.
Beyond the packaging line, we run a busy e-commerce platform. When the packaging line is caught up, your secondary focus will be to help out with order fulfillment in the warehouse, to help pick, pack, and ship online orders during high-volume periods as well as other smaller tasks.
We take our beer seriously, but we also love what we do! We will have a strong focus on the right personality in this role and want someone who brings a happy attitude, a strong work ethic, and positive energy to the floor every day.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Packaging Operations: Run and assist with the automatic labeler, case packer, palletizer, keg-filling, and bag-in-box filling.
Web Shop Order Fulfillment: Help pick, pack, and prepare online web shop customer orders for shipping during peak times.
Next-Day Prep & Setup: At the end of each shift, review the upcoming schedule to stage the correct labels, boxes, and pallets so the line is fully ready to run the next morning.
Strict Facility Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless, organized workspace on the line and take part in general warehouse and brewery cleaning (sweeping, trash removal, sanitization).
Quality Assurance: Check that labels are straight, boxes are securely taped, and batch codes/expiration dates are stamped correctly by strictly following our Standard Operating Procedures.
Must-Have Requirements (Essential)
Positive Attitude & Vibe: A naturally happy, optimistic person who enjoys working with others and contributes positively to the team environment.
High Reliability: Exceptionally dependable, punctual, and consistent so the production team can always count on you.
Heavy Physical Stamina: Physically strong and capable of standing and walking all day, with the ability to repeatedly lift up to 35 kg on heavy production days.
Flexibility & Hustle: Ability to seamlessly shift gears from steady packaging machinery work to fast-paced web shop order packing.
Safety First: Total commitment to maintaining strict product quality, chemical safety protocols, and wearing mandatory PPE (safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection).
Proactive & Organized: Ability to think ahead, read production schedules, and independently organize materials for the next day's shift.
Nice-to-Have Requirements (Preferred / Bonus)
Warehouse Experience: Prior experience picking/packing web orders or working with packaging machinery.
Forklift or Pallet Jack Skills: Experience operating a manual/electric pallet jack, or an active forklift certification.
Basic Mechanical Comfort: Ability to clear a basic label jam or reload boxes and tape into the case packer quickly.
