Your workday
As Sales Manager, you will drive proactive sales of topside handling equipment for different types of vessels, including (C)SOVs, construction vessels, cable laying vessels (CLVs) for power and fiber-optic cables, and scientific and survey vessels, reporting to the Vice President Sales. You will develop and execute strategies to expand our customer base of shipowners, shipyards, designers and government agencies. Your commercial responsibility will run from early opportunity development to contract closure and delivery collaboration. The role is highly customer-facing and requires frequent travel across Europe and Asia-Pacific to drive opportunities and build strong customer relationships.


Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Drive proactive sales within the assigned market and segment, developing and executing sales strategies for shipowners, shipyards, designers and government agencies in line with SEAONICS’ product matrix and market strategy

  • Plan and execute sales activities to achieve the annual sales budget and required margins

  • Build customer and stakeholder relationships through frequent on-site interaction and early engagement; present solutions, negotiate contracts and close deals

  • Prepare commercial calculations, define scope of supply, conduct risk assessments and submit offers for your sales projects

  • Follow up opportunities throughout key project phases and coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful deliveries

  • Gather market intelligence to support product development and pricing, attend relevant exhibitions and work effectively across markets and cultures

  • Support and coordinate internal compliance, due diligence and third-party approval processes related to customers, partners, agents and sales opportunities as part of the overall sales process. The role is supported by internal Legal and Commercial Development resources

Who are you?
You have documented sales experience from the maritime sector or other international industrial sales. You have a proven ability to develop opportunities, prepare offers, negotiate contracts and close deals. You have a technical education or strong technical understanding, and you hold a class B driver's license. The role involves a fair amount of global travel, and you need to communicate well in English.
Experience with offshore handling and lifting equipment is an advantage. An established network among shipowners, shipyards and designers, as well as experience in Asian markets, will also be an advantage. Understanding compliance, due diligence, and third-party approval processes in an international business environment is desirable. You are a natural communicator and a good listener. You are outgoing, driven and solution-oriented, and you take clear ownership of your results.
