Helly Hansen is looking for a Supply Planning Manager - Workwear

Own the Workwear supply planning cycle, translating demand into executable buy and supply plans that balance availability, inventory health, supplier capacity, risk and working capital.

Why does this role matter?

Workwear is a strategic growth area where dependable availability, disciplined inventory decisions and strong supplier alignment directly support customers and commercial performance. This role improves planning quality, supply visibility and business continuity by turning demand, inventory and supplier constraints into realistic actions.

What will you own:

  • Own the Workwear supply planning process, including inventory targets, monthly buy plans and timely hand-off for purchase order release.
  • Convert the consensus demand plan into executable supply plans aligned with supplier capacity, materials, lead times, MOQs and availability.
  • Develop pre-season, in-season and post-season buy strategies that protect service levels while optimising cost, capacity and inventory.
  • Maintain and improve inventory policies and planning parameters, including safety stock, target stock and cycle stock.
  • Monitor inventory health and act on excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock while protecting demand uncertainty.
  • Identify supply, material and capacity risks early, assess impact and drive mitigation or recovery actions.
  • Support product launches, carry-over planning and phase-outs with controlled inventory ramp-up and ramp-down.
  • Provide clear supply input for Supply Review and S&OP, enabling timely decisions across channels, regions and functions.
  • Improve planning processes, data quality, system use and decision discipline.

Who will you work with?

  • Demand Planning, to translate the consensus forecast into inventory, capacity and buy decisions.
  • Sourcing and Production, to align supplier capacity, materials, lead times, constraints and PO execution.
  • Product and Allocation teams, to support launches, carry-over products, phase-outs and channel priorities.
  • Sales and Commercial teams, to understand customer priorities, promotions, tenders and excess inventory actions.
  • Logistics, Master Data and Analytics, to improve supply visibility, planning inputs and reporting quality.
  • Finance and SIOP stakeholders, to align supply plans with revenue, margin, service and working-capital goals.

How will success be measured?

  • Timely, high-quality monthly buy plans with clear assumptions, risks and decisions.
  • Improved availability, fill rate and service level performance.
  • Healthy inventory levels, improved turns and reduced excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock.
  • Earlier mitigation of supplier, material and capacity constraints.
  • Clear, trusted supply information and stronger cross-functional alignment through Supply Review and S&OP.
  • Consistent use of Anaplan, M3 and analytics to support data-driven decisions.

What will you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering or another analytical field.
  • At least five years’ experience in supply planning, inventory planning, purchasing or end-to-end supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of supply planning, inventory management, purchasing, supplier constraints and S&OP.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex trade-offs into clear recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills, with ERP and planning tool experience; Anaplan or M3 is an advantage.
  • Confident communicator who can influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Structured, proactive and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Workwear, apparel, footwear or consumer-goods supply chain experience is an advantage.

What we offer

  • A key role in a strategic growth business.
  • An ambitious, international and collaborative working environment.
  • The opportunity to shape modern planning processes using Anaplan and stronger analytics.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, an active culture and discounts on great gear.
