The Artist: Born in Oslo in 1944, Morten Magnus is a highly regarded Norwegian graphic artist. He studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts (Statens Kunstakademi) in the 1973-1978 class. His art is collected by prominent public institutions, including the National Museum of Norway (Nasjonalmuseet). He is known for a distinctive narrative style that blends figurative modernism with a lush, folk-inspired, or satirical sense of humor.Title & Subject: The piece is titled "I Arkadien" (In Arcadia). Arcadia represents a legendary, idyllic Greek paradise of nature and rustic simplicity.
