Senior Project Manager

To strengthen our Uncrewed Platforms team, we are looking for Senior Project Managers who want to help shape the future of autonomous maritime systems. 

As a Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of highly skilled specialists within systems engineering, mechanics, electronics, software, testing, and integration. You will follow projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from early concepts and customer needs, through requirements definition and design, all the way to sea trials, acceptance testing, and final delivery. 

This is not a role where you simply track schedules and review status reports. You will play a central role in the development process and experience the technology first-hand, from meeting rooms and workshops to onboard testing and sea operations. 

Your responsibilities 

• Lead delivery and development projects within autonomous maritime systems, both above and below the surface. 

• Create the conditions for teams to succeed, enjoy their work, and continuously improve together. 

• Ensure project objectives related to quality, schedule, risk management, and financial performance are achieved. 

• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle. 

• Coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary teams of highly qualified professionals. 

• Ensure a structured transition from concept and design through testing, verification, and delivery. 

 We believe you will succeed in this role if you 

• Have successfully led complex technology development projects involving multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders. 

• Are structured, goal-oriented, and capable of delivering results through others. 

• Understand the relationship between technology, risk, and commercial performance. 

• Are curious, willing to challenge established ways of thinking, and a strong team player. 

• Are comfortable leading projects where requirements evolve, technical challenges emerge, and not all answers are known in advance. 

• Are a strong communicator able to both listen and explain complex topics to both the team and to customers and stakeholders. 

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English. 

You do not need to be the technical expert, but you must be able to understand technical trade-offs, challenge assumptions, and drive decisions across engineering disciplines.
