Associate with data analytics and AI skills, Oslo

Norfund's Impact & Climate team is looking for a solution-oriented data analyst with 1-2 years of experience - someone with a developer's instincts who also wants their code to serve a purpose: measuring and reporting on climate, gender equality and development impact in emerging markets.

Norfund's Impact & Climate team is responsible for understanding and measuring Norfund's development impact, including climate finance and gender equality results, and for the systems and data behind that reporting. A large part of the team's work is the annual development effects reporting, where the team collects and analyses data from Norfund's portfolio companies. This position will support projects and deliverables across departments and levels.

What you will be doing

  • Contributing to the annual development effects reporting: collecting, structuring and analysing data from Norfund's portfolio companies
  • Supporting the team's climate, additionality, gender equality and impact workstreams with developer skills - helping build and improve AI agents and other tools
  • Data extraction and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Quality assuring AI-generated outputs and contributing to AI-assisted workflows in the team's data and reporting work, while working closely with developers across other teams on shared tools and systems
  • Contributing to improving the team's tools and data flows as new systems are introduced over the coming years

Who we are looking for

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent, with a strong academic record; relevant experience or a Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Solid Python and SQL skills. Experience with Power BI, cloud data platforms (Azure), data collection, structuring, validation and analysis.
  • Experience with AI and interested in quality assuring AI-assisted work, not just using it.
  • Genuine interest in development finance, impact, climate and gender equality - motivated by what the numbers are for, not only by the code.
  • Analytical, driven, and comfortable working both independently and in a team on both larger and smaller tasks.
  • English fluency, written and oral, is required; Norwegian is an advantage.

Why Norfund?

You will work on problems that actually matter, at an organization where technology and data are increasingly central to how we measure, report and understand impact. New systems for the team's climate and impact work are planned over the coming years - real room for someone who wants to build new solutions, not just maintain. You will be based at our Oslo office, as part of an international organization.

We know that diversity contributes to better results and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.

Practical Information

Please submit your application by 5 October 2026 by uploading your CV, application letter, grade transcripts, diplomas and other relevant documents.

The position is based in Oslo, Norway. A valid work permit for Norway is required.
