Manufacturing Process Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer Composites who is passionate about developing robust manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and solving technical challenges. In this role, you will help build scalable manufacturing processes for high-performance products using advanced machining and manufacturing technologies.

Working closely with Production, Design Engineering, and Quality, you will play a key role in introducing new products, optimizing existing processes, and supporting the transition from prototype to serial production.

The Role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, validating, and continuously improving manufacturing processes involving CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and secondary production operations. You will ensure stable, efficient, and repeatable production while maintaining high quality and process capability.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will spend time both on the production floor and working with engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges and improve overall production performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for CNC machining and additive manufacturing.

  • Define machining strategies, tooling, fixtures, process parameters, and manufacturing standards.

  • Support the industrialization of new products, including process validation and production readiness.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

  • Drive continuous improvements to increase quality, productivity, process capability, and equipment efficiency.

  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process specifications.

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to improve manufacturing performance.

  • Support equipment selection, tooling development, and the introduction of new manufacturing technologies.

  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality, safety, and operational standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, CNC Manufacturing, or a similar technical role

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, machining strategies, tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters

  • Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills

  • Good written and spoken English

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Fusion 360, Mastercam, Siemens NX, SolidCAM, HyperMill, Edgecam, or similar)

  • Knowledge of advanced materials or high-performance manufacturing applications

  • Experience with process validation, industrialization, and New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience from aerospace, defence, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or other high-precision production environments
