A gorgeous Pendant Necklace made of Platinum Plated 925 Silver and featuring a Natural 4.5ct Zawadi Golden Sheen Sapphire from Kenya. Zawadi Golden Sheen Sapphire is a unique natural Sapphire from Eastern Kenya. It is characterized by an attractive bronze, Golden Sheen. This Golden Sheen shimmers across the dark chocolate body colour of the Sapphire. The Golden Sheen of Zawadi Sapphire is caused by inclusions of Hematite and Rutile. The name "Zawadi," meaning "gift" in Swahili. The Trapiche Pattern defines the Zawadi Sapphire and is a structural masterpiece. It is a direct result of the crystals growth dynamics. Imagine a sapphire crystal beginning its life around a tiny seed. As it grows, it expands in a hexagonal pattern, forming distinct growth sectors, like the slices of a pie. Sapphire is one of the world’s hardest gemstones (Moh Hardness: 9), and an excellent choice for everyday jewellery.
