This Folio Society edition is an abridgement of the revised edition of "The Great Plague of London in 1665" (John Lane The Bodley Head, 1953). Striking front cover illustration in black, red, and gilt of plague victim receiving ministrations. Black and orange pictorial endpapers are engraving of John Dunstall of plague scenes of 1665. Color, b&w illustrations, and fold-out map.
2001. Abridged Edition. 256 pages. No dust jacket, Folio edition with slipcase. Black cloth with decorations and slipcase. Black and white and colour illustrations throughout. Book is in better condition than most examples of this age. Neat, clean, well bound pages with very minimal foxing, tanning and thumbing. Small inscriptions and neat labels may be present. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Slipcase has light edge wear with minor markings to panels.
