OLP ( official licensed product ) Stingray Bass.
The year of production is between 2000/06.
This bass has been rewired into series ( precision bass style ) - Volume/Tone.
Rewiring an OLP (Official Licensed Product by Ernie Ball/Music Man) bass pickup into a series or Precision-style configuration shifts the output from a bright, parallel tone to a thicker, punchier sound.
It's an easy fix if wanting to restore it to Stingray passive mode using just a soldering iron. However, this bass sounds great the way it is. Very deep, punchy tone with nice high end range.
The action is set very low (personal preference) . It plays very fast and smooth. Great for the Funk !
Headstock attention: The G string tunning peg has been replaced ( see picture ). It is secure and tight, works as it should.
This bass is over 20 years old and quite sought after due to OLPs having such a great reputation from fellow bass players. It has signs of use as to be expected. No major dings/holes or issues.
The neck is well played, plays fantastic despite discoloration due to age and use. It adds to the look.
I'm willing to Trade this bass for an Electric 6 string guitar ( For home recording ).
I'm also open to Effect pedal trades. Synth, Octave , Chorus.
Otherwise I'm placing a price of 2500 Nok.
