Pure Silk Tie with Botanical Script, this is vintage from the Eighties, from Marja Kurki for OKO Bank
100% Silk
Features a striking "text-as-texture" design: Utilizes a flowing cursive script to showcase a diagonal striped pattern made entirely from the Latin botanical names of native Nordic trees, including Betula verrucosa (Silver Birch), Fraxinus excelsior (European Ash), and Picea abies (Norway Spruce).
Colours feature textured Steel Blue and Soft Slate Grey Tone Blue, with subtle accent striping
Widest point is about 9 cm – Classic mid-80s power tie proportions
Length is about 145 cm – Standard vintage length
This is a beautifully preserved piece of vintage corporate design history from Finland. This premium pure silk necktie was custom-commissioned by the historic Finnish financial institution OKO Bank and designed by the renowned luxury fashion house Marja Kurki during the mid-to-late 1980s (circa 1985–1989).
Preloved. Excellent vintage condition.
