The Rocket chair is a retro design classic, where contemporary design meets vintage style, hand finished, aniline leather in a beautiful fusing of different decades. Our full grain aniline leather which has been finished by hand in our international tannery is then upholstered by hand around the crafted wooden frame to ensure each chair has been constructed with the most care and attention. The Rocket chair can be placed in all rooms making it an excellent collector’s piece, which can be used to update an existing room or furnish a new room with ease. A comfortable, signature tub chair, the Rocket features simple lines and panelling detail.
WHY IS THIS LEATEHR SO SPECIAL?
We use top grain leather, which is the most luxurious in the world. Each piece has undergone a special 5 week tanning process involving natural oils to give it a beautiful finish. To produce our Vintage leather, our craftsmen carefully hand finish each piece in a variety of ageing processes, each taking a considerable amount of time and detailed work.
Each piece of leather used maintains its natural pigmentation, which means that no sofa or armchair is exactly the same - making it unique to you. The beauty of our top grain leather also means that it breathes easily and wears for longer; so you can enjoy it for years to come.
Uncorrected aniline leather is the most expensive leather in the world. Why? Because only the very best hides are used. Each hide, and so each piece of furniture is 100% unique and, because it is a natural product, will vary slightly in colour.
Vintage leather overview:
Characteristics=Full aniline, hard vintage and antique crack look.
Appearance=Old and crack wax vintage look.
Feeling=Hard
Ageing=Resistant to scratches, became softer as is used and increases the antique look.
How to clean=All leathers must be always cleaned with a dry cloth or slight damped in natural water if necessary. Avoid hard rubbing when cleaning. Vacuum the seat platforms to remove dust or crumbs. Our leather does not require feeding but can be enriched by using a quality leather cream.
Old saddle leather overview:
Inspiration=riding boots or saddle.
Characteristics=Full aniline, oil pull up.
Appearance=vintage feel with slightly worn sheen.
Feeling=Oily and soft.
Ageing=Very delicate and sensitive to scratches.
Antique leather overview:
Inspiration=Antique, aged and used leather Furniture.
Characteristics=Full aniline, wax pull up, buffed on finish furniture and protected.
Appearance=Vintage look with aged areas.
Feeling=Soft and Natural.
Ageing=designed to age and discolor
