Capacity & Demand Planner 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to generate an unconstrained demand plan. Each day, you will conduct finished goods rationalization in coordination with relevant functions. You will also showcase your expertise by measuring, reporting, and driving improvement in demand planning accuracy. 

The work model for the role is: Hybrid (Primarily Skien, Norway, with flexibility for remote work. Some planned cross-site collaboration with Polish operations is to be expected) 

This role is contributing to Planning & Fulfillment in Europe (Scandinavia & Central Europe), supporting ABB Electrification Norway AS. Main stakeholders are Sales, Planning, Procurement, Marketing, and Executive Leadership. 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Creating and maintaining the rolling 12-24 months demand forecasts for assigned products across all sales channels and segments. 

• Assembling and analyzing data pertinent to creating an unconstrained demand plan while ensuring forecast accuracy and data integrity. 

• Supporting Sales by providing guidance on global demand for specific products and assisting with the consolidation of the demand plan. 

• Monitoring finished goods Stock Keeping Units (SKU) levels, recommending SKU rationalization initiatives. 

• Identifying capacity bottlenecks early and proposing capacity solutions in coordination with Norwegian and Polish manufacturing sites. 

Your background and experience 

• You have 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or a related field with demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting methodologies and tools (such as SAP, Anaplan, or similar planning software). 

• You are highly skilled in Excel, data analysis, and business intelligence tools, with strong proficiency in creating forecasts, analyzing variance, and generating insights from large datasets. 

• You possess advanced knowledge of integrated business planning (IBP) processes and demand-supply alignment, with experience managing multisite or matrix organizational structures. 

• You are passionate about data integrity, accuracy, and governance, with proven ability to maintain high-quality data standards and proactively communicate complex information across functions. 

• You have a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience in demand/supply planning roles. 

• You are at ease communicating in English and Norwegian 

• You are innovative around stakeholder alignment, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive problem-solving, with ability to communicate capacity constraints and demand forecasts clearly to senior leadership.
