Supervisor Interior
As a Supervisor Interior, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating interior installation activities onboard our projects.
The role involves supervising installation companies, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards, and monitoring daily progress throughout the installation process.
You will work closely with the Production Coordinator Interior and Department Manager Interior to plan and prioritize activities, coordinate interfaces with other disciplines, resolve installation challenges, and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. The position also includes quality control, progress reporting, inspections, and final handover of completed interior areas.
Duties and responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize work for installation companies.
- Perform pre-checks of assigned work areas and identify potential conflicts with other systems.
- Coordinate installation activities with other departments such as Hull, Paint, Electrical, Piping, and HVAC.
- Provide work direction and guidance to installation companies.
- Ensure work is completed according to quality requirements and planned schedules.
- Participate in inspections with Class and/or Owners and ensure remarks are closed.
- Support the Department Manager Interior and Production Coordinators Interior with budgeting and scheduling activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
- Verify availability of materials, equipment, drawings, and work areas before installation starts.
- Manage contractor activities to maximize installation efficiency and minimize rework.
- Monitor installer performance and provide guidance for improvement.
- Develop and maintain lists of critical points and roadblocks for assigned areas.
- Report installation progress and deviations on a weekly basis.
- Report extra contractual activities and provide the required supporting documentation.
- Manage the correction and closure of remarks and non-conformities.
- Perform final inspections and handover of completed areas.
Qualifications
- Vocational education or equivalent technical background.
- Experience within interior installation, shipbuilding, construction, or similar industries.
- Knowledge of interior installation methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.Good planning, coordination, and reporting skills.
