Exciting role in sustainability and green labels

Exciting position with focus on green labels, environmental product declaration and sustainability

Are you curious about sustainability, environmental documentation and digital tools? Whether you are newly graduated or ready for your next challenge, this role gives you the opportunity to build specialist competence while contributing to Jotun’s sustainability journey.

You will become part of Group Product Safety (GPS), located at Jotun’s headquarters in Sandefjord, Norway. In this international team, you will work with product and chemical safety, life cycle assessments (LCA), environmental product declarations (EPD) and green building documentation. As customers and authorities increasingly expect clear, reliable sustainability documentation, your work will help support better decisions and a safer, more sustainable industry.

We are looking for someone with an interest in sustainability, green labels, product declarations, digital tools and improvement projects. In this role, you will help develop and maintain documentation used in sustainability assessments, certifications and green building projects, while learning from experienced colleagues in a fast-developing field.

You do not need to have experience with all these topics already. What matters most is your curiosity, structure, willingness to learn and motivation to contribute.
You will thrive here if you enjoy working in a structured and efficient way, take initiative and like combining independent work with collaboration across a highly competent organisation.

What you will work with

  • Help prepare and coordinate documentation for green labels, product declarations and sustainability assessment schemes such as the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, Building Products Portal, Byggvarubedömningen and Environmental Product Declarations.

  • Build knowledge of chemical regulations and sustainability-related requirements, including EU REACH, CLP and BPR, by following relevant developments from ECHA, national authorities and industry organisations.

  • Work closely with R&D, Sales and Marketing to provide reliable product documentation that helps customers choose documented and sustainable solutions.

  • Use digital tools and declaration templates to handle large volumes of data efficiently and improve the quality of regulatory and sustainability documentation.

  • Share knowledge and provide advice to colleagues, helping increase understanding of chemical compliance, sustainability documentation and relevant standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

What we are looking for

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in natural or environmental sciences, such as biology, ecology, chemistry, or another relevant field.

Personal qualities

  • A strong interest in sustainability and environmental documentation.

  • Good communication skills and motivation to collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Interest in digital tools and willingness to use them to simplify and improve work processes.

  • Initiative, ownership and the ability to make things happen.

  • A structured and methodical approach, with the ability to prioritise and work efficiently.

  • Analytical skills and the ability to understand complex information and make sound judgments.

  • Fluency in English.

If you want to grow your expertise in sustainability, contribute to meaningful product documentation and be part of an international team shaping safer and more transparent solutions, we would be excited to hear from you.

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits

  • Continuous learning opportunities and training activities through on-the-job training and our in-house learning Jotun Academy.

  • Career development opportunities across multiple disciplines and geographies

  • Leaders who focus on engaging and enabling their team, proven by consistently high employee feedback scores

  • A supportive and inclusive company culture where you can be your authentic self

  • A focus on having fun together through team buildings and social activities
