Selling a Sony 100-400mm GM (SEL100400GM).
The lens is in very good condition apart from a minuscule scratch towards the very edge of the front glass. The scratch has not been a problem for me in real world photos, and I fully expect the same will be true for you. Due to the combination of this being a telephoto lens, and the mark being so far to the side, I wonder if it is even physically possible for it to ever affect the image.
Despite being compact for a lens in its class, this lens is a bit heavy for me. For that reason, it usually stays at home unused, and so I have decided to sell it.
If you are considering this lens, I think it's great for:
- outdoor sports like football
- animals
- landscapes
- astrophotography of nebulae -- basically it can replace a telescope (but you will need a star tracker)
I would not advise this lens for:
- indoor events
- bird photography (especially smaller birds -- better go for the 200-600mm)
The lens will be delivered with:
- Sony tripod foot
- Sony lens hood
- Sony front lens cap
- Sigma back lens cap (I can provide a Sony cap if you specifically request it)
- Sony lens bag (unused)
- Sony original packaging
I can pack it well and send it with Fiks Ferdig if you need me to. I have good experience with shipping lenses safely. You can also pick it up in Oslo.
