Dynamic Positioning Operator

The Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) works under the supervision of the Senior DPO and is responsible for maintaining vessel position during offshore operations. The role includes monitoring critical DP systems, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations, maintaining communication with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to maintain vessel position during offshore operations.

• Support the Senior DPO in safe and efficient DP operations.

• Monitor weather, environmental conditions, vessel performance, and power systems.

• Maintain communication with relevant departments, including Drill Floor, Engine Control Room, ROV and Marine teams.

• Act as Navigational Watch Officer when assigned.

• Assist with DP system maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and record keeping.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

• Participate in training, drills, and continuous competency development.

Our requirements

• Unlimited DPO Certificate issued by The Nautical Institute.

• Third Mate Unlimited License (or equivalent national certification).

• Minimum 1 year experience on DP vessels in an offshore or industrial marine environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation preferred.

• Good understanding of DP systems, vessel operations, and marine navigation.

• Proficiency with DP control systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong communication skills and commitment to safe operations.
