Core Circuitry & Sound Profile
• The Tube's Real Role: The pedal features a built-in 12AX7 vacuum tube. However, the actual compression is handled by an optical circuit. The tube is configured as an anode follower acting strictly as a make-up gain stage.
• Sonic Character: According to technical reviews on Ovnilab, the Squeezer delivers a very crisp, clear, "hi-fi" tone with no loss of highs or lows. It adds a sweet, organic warmth to the signal without excessively coloring or over-squashing your core dynamics.
• The Aesthetic Glow: A small internal orange LED illuminates the tube when powered. This is a visual cosmetic effect rather than a performance indicator.
Comprehensive Parameter Controls
Unlike simple two-knob compressors, the Squeezer features six precise control knobs to shape your compression character from subtle smoothing to heavy peak limiting.
• Gain: Adjusts the tube gain stage to add warmth and presence.
• Level: Controls the overall output volume of the pedal.
• Comp: Dictates the compression ratio (how aggressively the volume is clamped).
• Threshold: Determines the input level at which the compressor begins working.
• Attack: Adjusts how quickly the compression kicks in, ranging from instantaneous up to a slow 950 milliseconds to let your initial transient snap pass through.
Release: Sets how long the compressor holds onto the signal, ranging up to 2000 milliseconds for extended sustain
