Graduate 2027 - Geoscientist

About the position

We are looking for 2 graduates to join Vår Energi within Exploration & Subsurface.
As part of our graduate programme, you will work on real business challenges from day one, while developing your technical and professional skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

We are a leading independent Norwegian upstream oil and gas company, built on more than 50 years of experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
With equity stakes in around 50% of all producing assets on the NCS, we are the third largest oil and gas producer and one of the largest exporters of gas to Europe from Norway.
We are 1,400 skilled and engaged employees, located offshore and at our offices in Hammerfest, Florø, Oslo and Forus outside Stavanger.

As a graduate within Exploration & Subsurface, you'll be part of a collaborative team working to find and deliver new oil and gas resources while developing your skills through real projects from day one.
You will:

• Help to generate new exploration ideas, generate prospects and develop them towards drilling
• Work with seismic interpretation and well data to understand the subsurface
• Contribute to planning and follow up of exploration and production wells
• Work closely with other geoscientists, engineers and license partners, collaborating across the wider organisation

You will be given responsibility early on, with support and mentoring from experienced colleagues.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Are recently graduated or will graduate in 2027 with a Master's degree within relevant studies
• Have 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
