Join the Seatex division in Kongsberg Discovery as an Application Engineer. Kongsberg Discovery is a technology company providing innovative and reliable solutions. An exciting new opportunity has arisen for anApplication Engineerto join the Inertial Solutions team at Kongsberg Discovery in Trondheim.  

As Application Engineer you join an experienced product team where you will have responsibilities contributing towards the further development and maintenance of our inertial sensors and GNSS-aided INS products. This includes software development, engineering support, test, verification and validation. To succeed in this position, we believe you need to take initiative, be cooperative, responsible, structured, and quality-minded. You might occasionally join our operators and customers in the field.

We think you should have / What we're looking for / Your qualifications 

• A bachelors degree or higher 

• Openings possible for both a Sr. and Jr. level position
  

• Software development in C/C++, Pyhon, Matlab 

• Experience with Linux operating systems is a requirement 

• Experience with network engineering is beneficial.  

• Experience from relevant industry is beneficial. Marine and maritime industries are of relevance, as well as other industries creating complex technical solutions consisting of mechanical, electronics/HW, and software development. 

• Experience with GNSS, inertial sensors, and/or MEMS sensors is beneficial.
