By the time «Down 'N Dirty» arrived in 1991, Powerage had shed the tribute tag completely. This is riff-driven German hard rock with a sharper, more confident production than their debut — a band that had spent seven years on the Bavarian underground circuit and had nothing left to prove and everything left to deliver. The AC/DC DNA is still in there, running through the bones of every track. But this is Powerage's record, not anyone else's.
Original physical copies have become genuinely difficult to find — vinyl from the first press now commands serious collector prices. This CD is a faithful replica of the original first pressing, putting one of the German underground's most underrated hard rock albums back within reach at a price that makes sense.
