HMH is a leading provider of equipment and services in the oil, gas, and mining industries. They are currently developing an innovative system to analyse data from advanced sensors to enhance the safety and efficiency of drilling operations.
HMH is seeking a skilled Control Systems Software Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be the stakeholder in developing, improving and delivery of high-quality solutions for HMH products and services to their customers. HMH digital solutions in the Drilling Control and Monitoring System (DCMS) segment are crucial for our delivery of the whole range of their process control and automation deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and develop HMH Equipment Control System solutions
Diagnose and resolve issues in existing PLC systems to ensure optimal performance
Ensure seamless integration of PLCs with other automation components and systems
Deliver high-quality software designs that enhance system efficiency and reliability
Produce clear and structured documentation for system users and stakeholders
Collaborate with control system engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive system functionality
Participate in project meetings to review progress, challenges, and solutions
Engage with users and stakeholders to collect feedback and support continuous system improvements
Qualifications:
Technical degree from a college or university. Relevant professional experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
Proven experience as Control Systems Software Engineer.
Strong competence with programming of Control Systems with Simens PLC platforms (Simatic Classic / TIA Portal and DasyLab).
Experience with industrial communication networks (Profinet, Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus)
Experience with programming in Simatic S7 / TIA portal / Cimplicity.
Fluent in English both oral and written. Norwegian language is a plus.
