About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, who you will work hands-on with PLC and HMI systems, supporting the full lifecycle - from software development and design to offshore commissioning and service activities.

This is a practical, field-connected engineering role where your work directly impacts system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction across global projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PLC and HMI software for control systems 

• Create and update technical drawings and documentation for electrical control systems 

• Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities 

• Perform offshore and on-site service work     

• Collaborate with customers and subcontractors, ensuring technical alignment 

• Follow up on shipyard activities and system integration 

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree/educational background in relevant field (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control, Mechatronics, or similar)

• 5-10 years of experience with PLC and HMI systems 

• Ability to work in complex, problem-solving environments 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders 

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with offshore or marine environments 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field

• Background in commissioning or service engineering 

• Exposure to global project environments 

• Norwegian language is an advantage
