Original oil painting by the Hungarian artist Cs. Patay Mihály, a recognized painter, graphic artist, professor, and former head of the art department at the Teacher Training College in Szeged, Hungary.
The painting is titled “Várakozás” (Waiting) and dates from the early 1980s.

About the Artist
Cs. Patay Mihály studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and exhibited throughout Hungary and internationally, including exhibitions in Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, and the Soviet Union.
Description
A highly atmospheric and expressive composition combining abstraction with figurative elements. The subtle appearance of a female face emerging from layered architectural forms creates a contemplative and timeless work.
The muted palette of greys, greens, creams, and earth tones makes it particularly suitable for modern Scandinavian, contemporary, and minimalist interiors.
Condition
