Beskrivelse av varen
1950's vintage Italian premium linen towels features distinct craftsmanship, highlighted by a beautiful pointy crochet lace trim and an openwork "gigliuccio" or "hemstitch" insertion running through the center. The zigzag border is created via fine crochet lace attached directly to the hem. The central band features classic "sfilatura" (drawn-thread work), which requires pulling specific horizontal threads out of the linen and bundling the remaining vertical threads. This level of handiwork holds steady value for collectors of white-work.
The linen body is remarkably uniform in color with crisp, undamaged lace points.
NEVER been used but stored property for 70 years! No damp no smell, just a couple of sign of the time, see last 2 pictures.
