Structural Engineer
Job Description

- Perform structural analyses and calculations, including strength, fatigue, and buckling assessments in accordance with recognized offshore standards using FEM software and hand calculations.
- Prepare high-quality technical analysis reports for approval by customers and classification societies.
- Participate actively in design discussions and contribute to the development of safe, efficient, and fabrication-friendly solutions.
- Conduct internal quality checks and reviews of design and analysis documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with design, marine, mechanical, and piping disciplines to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with customers and classification societies to ensure technical and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in structural analysis within offshore, oil & gas, or similar industries.
- Experience with FEM software such as Ansys or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of offshore standards, regulations, and classification society requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience from the offshore industry or comparable heavy engineering sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and practical engineering constraints is beneficial.
- Norwegian language skills are an advantage but not required.
- Structured and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects.
- Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented approach.
Strong collaboration skills and willingness to contribute to a positive team culture.
