Structural Engineer

• Perform structural analyses and calculations, including strength, fatigue, and buckling assessments in accordance with recognized offshore standards using FEM software and hand calculations.
• Prepare high-quality technical analysis reports for approval by customers and classification societies.
• Participate actively in design discussions and contribute to the development of safe, efficient, and fabrication-friendly solutions.
• Conduct internal quality checks and reviews of design and analysis documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with design, marine, mechanical, and piping disciplines to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with customers and classification societies to ensure technical and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in structural analysis within offshore, oil & gas, or similar industries.
• Experience with FEM software such as Ansys or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of offshore standards, regulations, and classification society requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience from the offshore industry or comparable heavy engineering sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes and practical engineering constraints is beneficial.
• Norwegian language skills are an advantage but not required.
• Structured and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects.
• Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented approach.
