Support Specialist - SysCore Solutions

Help us reinvent how NBIM supports its core systems.

SysCore Solutions keeps NBIM's core systems running, the engine room behind every investment decision. We're now looking for a Support Specialist in Oslo to join the team and help us transform how that support works.

This isn't a role about maintaining the status quo. We want someone who looks at our current processes, sees what should be automated, and builds it, using SQL, scripting, AI tools, and agents. You'll be shaping how the global Solutions team (Oslo, Singapore, New York) operates for the next decade, not just keeping the lights on today.

Duties and responsibilities

The role

You'll be a primary technical contact for our core systems, working closely with colleagues in Singapore and New York to provide seamless 24/7 coverage. You'll triage and resolve incidents and partner with developers and business users across NBIM to keep the platform running and improving.

But just as importantly, you'll be looking at every recurring task and asking: why are we still doing this manually? We want someone who will build the automations, agents, and self-service tools that let the team spend less time firefighting and more time on the work that matters.

What you'll do

• Act as a primary technical contact for core systems
  
• Triage and resolve incidents
  
• Identify automation opportunities and build them
  
• Run daily handovers with Singapore and New York to keep the global picture coherent
  
• Coordinate with SysCore Development on deployment timing and dependencies
  
• Document incidents, root causes and resolutions so the team gets smarter over time
  
• Prioritise issues based on business context during trading hours
  

What you need

• Strong technical skills across data, scripting and system investigation. Comfortable working at the command line, in SQL, and in code
  
• Scripting ability in Python or PowerShell
  
• Experience using AI as a productivity tool and in agentic flows
  
• Solid troubleshooting instincts across systems and integrations
  
• Understanding of financial concepts (equity, fixed income, FX) and the basics of trading operations
  
• Triage and incident assessment skills
  
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure during market hours, often without backup
  

Desired qualifications

• Genuine interest in financial systems and trading platforms, and the willingness to learn complex platforms like SimCorp Dimension from the ground up
  
• Familiarity with workflow automation, observability, or agent frameworks
  
• Understanding of system integrations and APIs
  
• Knowledge of order lifecycle, settlement and reconciliation workflows
  
• AWS basics
